Laurie Cox Bostian is an artist, born and raised in the Carolinas, whose passions are painting and teaching. She is a 1994 Teaching Fellow graduate of Appalachian State University and is the owner of Personal Artist Studio & Gallery in Lincolnton, North Carolina where she accepts portrait commissions from all over the world, illustrates, and teaches students ages five to adult.

Anne Aldridge Webb is a freelance writer from Alamance County, North Carolina who has written for local publications such as Our State, and North Carolina Signature. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and currently works as Associate Director of Advancement at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. Anne and Laurie are college friends who just happened to have attended different colleges!
