 SHIPPING

Shipping will be by Insured Priority Mail or UPS and is determined by the weight of your package and destination.  I do ship internationally. 

 

FACE: Head and shoulders, white or solid background. SIMPLE : May include hands, arms, legs... simple background shading may be added.  Many landscapes and still lifes would fall into this category.  DETAIL: For portraits with more attention to clothing (such as military uniforms, bridal gowns, and traditional dress), background elements, architecture, etc.  Applies to more detailed landscapes or still life paintings.

 

PROCEDURE:

If you have decided to commission a portrait, I first want to THANK YOU and say how much I look forward to being your personal artist!  You will want to contact me soon and share photos that I will be using to create your special portrait.  Photos may be emailed or sent "snail mail."  All original photos will be returned with completed artwork. 

It is possible that I will need to create a COMPOSITION PLAN using your scanned photos, particularly if we are combining photos for a single portrait. (There may be an additional fee for the composition plan.  This is only necessary when faces are added or significant alterations are made to photos.)  I do this in Photoshop and email an image for your consideration.  This way I can correct any mistakes in scale or detail BEFORE I begin the artwork.  Wait time for portraits varies according to seasons and Holidays.  Reservations are recommended 2-3 months before Christmas!  I always try to meet special dates (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) if you ask early enough!

I REQUIRE PAYMENT IN ADVANCE to reserve space on my calendar for your commissioned portrait.  50% of the portrait price is due upon commissioning the portrait; the balance is due when the portrait is complete.  Payment may be made online or in person at Personal Artist Studio & Gallery in Lincolnton.  In person, I accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards.  Online payments are through PayPal (it is not necessary to have an account with PayPal to make online payments for commissions).  An invoice with a special link for your secure online payment will be emailed to you.  I also accept cashier's checks and money orders. I guarantee your satisfaction. Once your portrait is finished, I will email a digital approval image.  I will only ship a portrait after I receive your approval.  Your satisfaction is very important to me!  *You may pick your finished portrait up in person at my gallery!
