Questions about placing your order?

My shopping cart is powered by PayPal!  I have had years of success with them on eBay and they have been most helpful with my online setup.  They are a SECURE site, so shop with confidence!

Common questions:

How can I change the quantity of the item I order?

Once you put an item in your shopping cart, you can then click the VIEW CART button at the top of the screen to see your item(s).  This is where you may change the quantity.

How will you know how to contact me once I place the order?

PayPal notifies me of your order, complete with the items you've purchased, your mailing address, and email address.  YOU WILL NEED TO EMAIL ME after you make your purchase to send me photos you want me to use for artwork or to verify information regarding cards or prints that you want.  I am always able to reference the order you placed on my site.

Will any of my personal information be shared?

Absolutely not!  Like you, I can't STAND spam or any of that junk that clutters up my mailbox (at home or on the internet)!  I protect your privacy as I would want my own protected!

What if I want to send a check or money order in the mail?

That's fine!  Send it to my gallery address (below).  Whatever is most convenient for you!  I know that many portraits are commissioned as SURPRISE GIFTS, so I understand when folks have special requests for method of payment or contact regarding the artwork!

What if I want to commission a portrait or purchase items as a SURPRISE?

I do everything I can to help you keep a low profile!  Contact me via email or phone (828-428-4281) and make me aware that it is a surprise.  It is my pleasure to be your PERSONAL ARTIST and I like to keep a personal touch in  the work I do!  Expect a relationship with a REAL person when you commission work from me.

I have a photo of my child and want to add his cousin for a portrait to give the grandparents.  Can I send photos and have you put them together?

I do this more often than I can tell you!  It's a lovely gift to grandparents... or anyone else!  As long as I have a suitable photo of each child, I can combine them into one composition plan.  I do this in Photoshop by scanning the photos or using your digital ones, then cutting and pasting the additional face into the first photo.  In Photoshop, I can adjust the scale and positioning until you are happy with the composition plan.  I don't begin the actual artwork until you've approved a plan.

I have a few different photos I'd like you to use for the portrait of my child.  I like his hairstyle in one, his expression in the other, and the clothes in a third photo.  Can you put them together into one portrait?

Many things are possible in portraiture.  I have done this on several occasions, but it isn't ALWAYS do-able, depending on the photos provided.  I would take the "primary photo" then add photo segments to the composition plan*.  Photo segment #1 (for example, HAIRSTYLE) would be added.  Then photo segment #2 would be added (perhaps a favorite shirt).  Once details are smoothed out and scale is adjusted, I submit a composition plan to you for approval.  *There is a fee for this process.

Something I haven't answered?  I'm sure there will be more questions to add to this page... until then, send me an email with any other questions you have!

Thanks,
